“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common Defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to Ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
Those words were taken directly from the intro of the original Constitution and became the abstract leading to The Bill of Rights. They had the best intentions, and their actions made sense. But can we honestly say that the way this country is behaving correlates with what citizens hold so close?
We are not unionized if you take a look at the trends over the years. Some group has a problem with something, therefore splitting the country further and further away from what our forefathers wanted. This leads us to lack of domestic tranquility.
Which is causing us to become a divided set of people. We’ve gone beyond disagreement. Citizens of the United States are leaving our country and joining sides against us. (Sound familiar)? Whether you understand why or think these people are backstabbing, blasphemous humans, the fact that they were willing to defect shows you the there is an extreme dilemma in our unity and we are anything but tranquil.
I have to say, this country spends plenty of money proving that they will defend this territory (not people) to the end.
Our predecessors have failed us. I can’t believe that us, as the next generation cannot come together and say that out loud. They were greedy, they twisted everything around to make us believe that the general population will benefit. They paid off people to tell us the news they wanted us to hear and because of that, we now live in fantasies fighting against each other and what is right. We are not flourishing. We are dying at the hands of ourselves and those who are promised to protect us. And then fell “The Constitution” and it’s Amendments following.
Everyone boasts about the Constitution, quoting amendments with many not understanding that a re-look at the Constitution brought about The Bill of Rights. Nevertheless, we’re quoting them like it will make the situation better. The first sentence tells you that our current situation does not follow the Constitution. It’s already been violated but we ignore that fact and continue to move on.
It’s covered with our failures, but we allow our leaders to guide us with that fact proudly. We sit here in 2015 and act like we are succeeding with our beliefs and our current morals and decisions. But to what end? When will we finally cock our heads to the side and say…’huh?’
I’ll end this by saying in the last 250 years, we’ve turned an unimaginable amount of fantasies into last year’s top product. We continue to explore, invent, and discover things that we never imagined could be. We’ve learned we have been wrong about so many things. I am baffled at why people hold close this Constitution assuming men centuries ago knew how this world would be. Look up the word AMENDMENT!! Why is change so hard for us?
And why oh why do people think the second amendment will protect them from the government if and when they feel the need to take over? I’m pretty sure, our lives are in the hands of an agent who plays video games on his free time, sitting at a desk staring at us while we’re on the couch watching whatever makes us relax and…
Stop scraping the surface and try to go back to the beginning…and realize it was 250 years ago and adjust to the present.
